Homemade ECA Stack – Bodybuilding/Fitness – Recommendations?

Hi Everyone.

I am 23 years old.
I weighed about 285 pounds in High School, and was around 5 ft. 10in. My BF % was around 29-31%

Through hard work, many different supps, and 2 late, lucky growth spurts in college I’m now:
235 Pounds
6 ft 5 in
BF% – 15-16

I’ve ran the gamut in terms of bulking/cutting supps in the past 4 years. Hydroxycut, Xenedrine, Creatine, Nitric Oxide, Tribulus, Lipo 6, etc.

It’s been about 3 months since I’ve taken any serious supplements, and I want to keep from introducing more and more complex products into my body (I’d like to keep my liver).

The ECA stack seems to give the best results. It has only 3 components, and doesn’t introduce any “excess” filler ingredients.

Can anyone look at my proposed stack/schedule and see if I’m using these ingredients most efficiently?

Bronkaid (Bayer) – 25mg Ephedrine Sulfate; 400mg Guaifenesin
Awake (Walgreens) – 200mg Caffeine
Aspirin (Walgreens) – 325mg Aspirin

I take one of each in the morning on an empty stomach around 8:30am
I take another one of each at 5pm when I leave work.

My workouts start between 6:30pm and 7:30pm

My new workout with this regimine is as follows:
Monday: Build: Biceps, Triceps 30 Min. Burn: HIIT Treadmill 45 Min
Tuesday: Build: Chest, Shoulders 30 Min. Burn: Cross Trainer Level 14/20 45 Minutes
Wednesday: Build: Back, Traps, Legs 30 Min. Burn: Yoga; Rowing 30 Min. Sauna 15 Min.

Will this be effective? Any ideas on how I should cycle?

I’ve seen some that cycle on 3.5 days off 3.5 days. I’ve seen others that are on 2 weeks, off 2 weeks. And others.

Also, does the addition of the Guaifenesin have any side effects? Looks to be an expectorant, so I shouldn’t be too concerned there, right?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not hesitate to respond; I am aware that any responses are strictly for the purposes of conversation. I take full responsibilty for my actions and the decisions I make; and should seek the advise of a medical professional before altering my body intake.

Thanks,
-E.

I’m not really sure of the purpose of your stack. You seem to be taking a caffeine pill and two over the counter medications. I’ve never in my life heard of someone trying guafenisen and aspirin to improve their fitness. Additionally, these pills will be processed through your liver…you mentioned that you’d like to keep it, so I suggest that you do this as natural as possible.

You mention all the cutting products you’ve used, but I don’t see what you’ve *done* as far as nutrition. You do mention exercise, but convenient things like the treadmill and even the cross trainer aren’t going to benefit you as much as sprint intervals on the pavement. The moving belt helps you do less work on the treadmill, and the momentum of the cross trainer can make it easier. You can’t fake running, you know? It’s similar to how free weights activate more muscle fibers than machines since you have to do the work of stabilizing.

I see that you’re doing a three day regimen…is there a rest day after that, does it just continue, or is that all you plan on doing each week? I am also concerned that you have completely ignored lifting with your legs. Your body likes to grow evenly, so if you leave one part out, you’re restricting growth elsewhere. I don’t see any ab info in there, either…and do you think the sauna is going to help, or is this a relaxing treat instead? If the latter, that’s fine, but saunas only work to help you reduce water weight…as in, if you need to make weight for something, yeah, don’t eat or drink and sit in a sauna and workout. For actual fat loss, like you’re trying to do, you’re wasting your time there. Like I said, if you like it, you like it…but don’t do it to “burn” fat because it’s hot in there.

Anyway, that’s my two cents.

Push / Pull / Legs is the best routine you can follow coupled with good eating:
